Washing

Silk can be hand-washed or machine-washed, if handled with care.

Machine wash:Place the garment in a laundry bag. Use a silk or delicate wash program (max 30 °C). Always use a pH-neutral detergent formulated for silk, without enzymes or bleach. Select low or no spin.
Hand wash:Wash in cold or lukewarm water (max 30 °C) with a detergent for silk. Move gently – do not rub or wring the fabric.
Avoid fabric softener, bleach, and strong detergents.

Drying

Do not wring out the fabric. Roll it in a clean towel and gently press out excess liquid.
Lay flat to dry on a dry surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Never use a tumble dryer.

Ironing

Use low heat (silk setting or below 110 °C).
Iron on the reverse side while the fabric is slightly damp, or use a pressing cloth.
Steam can be used to gently smooth out wrinkles.

Storage

Store silk in a cool, dry place, protected from sunlight.
Avoid hanging heavy silk garments for extended periods – this can cause them to lose their shape.
Use breathable fabric bags for long-term storage – avoid plastic.
