CARE ADVICE
Laundry

Silk can be washed by hand or in a machine, if handled with care.

  • Machine wash: Place the garment in a laundry bag. Use a silk or delicates program (max. 30 °C). Always use a pH-neutral detergent suitable for silk, without enzymes or bleach. Choose a low or no spin cycle.
  • Handwash: Wash in cold or lukewarm water (max 30°C) with a detergent for silk. Gently agitate, do not rub or twist the fabric.
  • Avoid fabric softeners, bleach and strong detergents.
Drying
  • Do not wring the fabric out. Roll it in a clean towel and gently squeeze out excess liquid.
  • Dry flat on a dry surface, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Never use a dryer.

Ironing
  • Use low heat (silk setting or below 110°C).
  • Iron on the wrong side while the fabric is slightly damp, or use a pressing cloth.
  • Steam can be used to gently smooth out creases.

Storage

  • Store silk in a cool, dry place and away from sunlight.
  • Avoid hanging heavy silk garments for extended periods, as this can cause them to lose their shape.
  • Use breathable fabric bags for long-term storage, avoid plastic.

Padded or lined products should not be machine washed. Always check the washing instructions or contact us if you are unsure.
